Comparison
TradeDesk vs QuoteIQ
This is the fairest fight on our site. QuoteIQ calls out the add-on games the big platforms play and offers a price lock, which is exactly the philosophy we built on. Their entry plan is $29.99 for one user. Ours is $99.99 for your whole crew, or $29.99 locked for life if you take one of the ten founder seats. The difference is what happens when you hire somebody.
QuoteIQ figures are their publicly listed monthly plan prices as of September 2026: Essentials $29.99 (1 user), Beginner $74.99 (2), Pro $149.99 (4), Elite $299 (10), Max $699 (unlimited). TradeDesk is $99.99 flat for your whole crew, or $29.99 locked for life on one of the ten founder seats. Verify with them directly, and with us.
The short answer
Pick QuoteIQ if
- You are a one-man operation and their $29.99 tier covers what you need
- You want AI tools: an AI call answering service, AI estimate drafting, before-and-after photo generation
- You want customers self-quoting and self-scheduling off your website
- You want 40,000 users and 4,100 reviews behind the product before you commit
They are further along than we are and they are right about the core argument: contractors are being nickel-and-dimed. We just draw the line in a different place.
Pick TradeDesk if
- You want the whole crew on one rate, so hiring never raises your software bill
- You want lien deadlines, RRP paperwork and apprentice hours handled in the app, not in a folder
- You want books, mileage and tax prep built in, not a second subscription
- You want miles and hours logged for you, without anyone remembering to hit start
- You work in basements and dead zones and need it to keep working with no signal
- You want to reach the two people who built it, not a call center
We go deeper on the legal-and-tax paperwork that keeps you out of trouble and gets you paid.
Their price grows with you. Ours doesn't.
To be fair to them, they do not charge a fee per head the way the big platforms do. They step the price up by team size instead: one user, then two, then four, then ten. The catch is that the tools a crew actually needs live on those higher steps. Ours is one number with the whole crew and every feature in it. If you are one or two people and you intend to stay that way, their lower tiers are cheaper than our regular rate, and we are not going to pretend otherwise.
Cheaper than us for one or two people. More expensive than us once you are a crew of four.
Where we actually differ
The elephant in the room
We will not put a robot in front of your phone.
Several tools in this category now sell an AI that answers your calls for you. Before you switch that on, ask yourself one question. Have you ever called a company, gotten dropped into a maze of automated prompts, and just wanted to reach a human being?
If that ever frustrated you, remember that feeling, because it is what your next customer feels when a robot answers instead of you. Your phone is the first impression of your business, and homeowners are deciding whether to trust you with a key to their house.
So we built the opposite. Your phone rings to you, and you answer it. What TradeDesk does is make sure the call is worth answering: type the address and the property details are already pulled, so you can price the job while you are still on the line. A real voice, better prepared, beats a machine that never misses a ring.
Why we are not going to trash them
Because they are right about the thing that matters most in this category: contractors get nickel-and-dimed by add-ons, and the honest fix is building the tools in instead of billing for each one. They make that argument loudly and they back it up, and anyone making it is doing the trade a favor. Pretending otherwise would just insult your judgment.
The difference is scope. We went past quoting into the paperwork that decides whether you can collect: signed scope before work starts, lien clocks, deposit caps, RRP records, apprentice hours, and books your accountant can actually use. If those matter to your trade, that is the reason to pick us. If they do not, they are a fine tool.
Not the same price. Try both anyway.
Two weeks free, no card, and their trial is free too. Run a real job through both. If we are not deeper where it counts for your trade, you will know inside a week.
